Happy Valentines Day From Legacy

The most important part of Valentines Day is LOVE.  You LOVE with your HEART.  Make your HEART as strong as it can be and get in here and exercise it.  The more you exercise the more physically strong it gets......the more you LOVE the more emotionally strong it gets.  LOVE yourself enough to take the time to make it strong and healthy.

Dating Tip:  Dating and spending time with your significant other is a wonderful thing.  My husband and I like to go on gym dates!  We take a couple nights a week and spend an hour together at the gym.  It definitely makes working out a bit easier and something I look forward to!

Id LOVE to see you in here!

"Exercise is good for the heart because as you exercise and the heart pumps more, it builds the muscles of the heart, making it healthier.  Exercise decreases inflammation, which reduces the risk of atherosclerosis that cause most cases of heart dsease."  (www.chacha.com)

BootCamp Classes......Wednesday and Saturdays

So last night I did bootcamp class for the very first time ever!  I love cardio classes so I can't believe I never had the guts to do it before.  Probably because of the scary name!  Well I am not scared anymore, in fact I think I am in love with this class!  Adding strength training in a class with cardio is awesome!  My favorite to do in the gym is strength training, but I know a lot of people stay away from it.  Well this is a easy and FUN way of putting it in to your workout.  Get in here and try it out.....you will love our Bootcamp instructor AMY!  Bootcamp is now at Legacy Fitness WED at 6pm and SAT at 10:30am! Remember ALL classes are FREE with your membership!

Have any questions about Bootcamp, other classes, or just the gym?

Words from Amy:

"It's a combination of cardio and strength. We start with a warm up and always end with cool-down stretching (most everyone's favorite!). The class alternates between short cardio segments and resistance exercises to tone your upper and lower body. Sometimes we work one muscle group at a time, sometimes it's multiple groups. There will be exercises to improve your balance and strengthen your core (abs!). A typical bootcamp class will burn between 400 and 600 calories, and you'll never be doing the same thing for a long period of time."

Why use a Personal Trainer?

Okay you've taken the first step to staying active and healthy.  You got a gym membership!  What next?  Are you going to play it safe and stay in the cardio room and machine room?  Do you have the same goals every year and never meet them?  Do you know where your body is at on a physical level?  Here at Legacy Fitness we offer a FREE fitness screening so you know where you are at and where you need to go.  We also have an awesome personal training team!  One of our trainers can help get you where you wanna be.

Monday Blues.....Cant we just call it a new begining?

So it's Monday.  Slack off over the weekend with the way you ate or did you sit inside all day because it's January and we live in OHIO?  It's so hard to stay motivated and get back in to the swing of the gym even when you take two days off.  After you take that first step on the treadmill or that first rep of the machine it all comes back.  The feeling of accomplishment, the push to get to your goal. Awwww the feeling you get when you finish your first workout for the week.  A new begining that feels like you can take on the rest of the week eating healthy and getting your gym time in.  Bring it on Monday.....in fact bring on the whole week!

Just a little insight on what our gym is about:

"Our Passion, Your Legacy"

Mark Woodring, the owner of Legacy Fitness, has been in the gym industry his whole life. He has opened major corporate chains from L.A. Fitness, Urban Active, and 24 Hour Fitness to name just a few. He contributed to these gyms across the nation and has made them as successful as they are today. Several years ago his mother passed away from ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s Disease, an idiopathic disease with no known cure. A couple years later his father then passed due to cardiac issues. Soon after, Mark left the gym industry and got a job behind a desk as a salesman. Within a couple months he knew that he was not satisfied for what he settled for. A couple months went by and Mark gained motivation and found a purposeful meaning to what he has to offer. Mark realized that it is never too late and life is too short.
With the inheritance his parents left behind, he decided to open his own gym. Legacy Fitness will not be like your ordinary “corporate machine”. All members will come first with their best interest in mind. The gym will provide a feeling of belonging to its members. As Legacy Fitness grows within the community, he will be donating to local charities, the American Heart Association, and to the Lou Gehrig’s Foundation in honor of his mother and father. With Mark’s passion and strength, he has the ability to offer local residents a familiar feeling of being taken care of. Just like his parents cared for him.
Welcome to our new Legacy Fitness Blog!  Follow for updates on new classes and info at our gym!
Tonight we have Zumba with Josie at 8pm and Saturday morning @ 8:30AM is Cardio Kickboxing!
